Kelly Voigt

Long Island reSound East

Kelly Voigt is an Elementary/Kindergarten music educator in the Middle Country School District. Kelly has a Bachelors in Music from Lawrence University (Appleton, WI) where she majored in Music Education with concentration in Clarinet and a Master’s Degree from SUNY Stony Brook and Orff Level Certifications. Kelly has experience teaching at all age levels in Wisconsin, New Jersey and now back in her home state of New York. Kelly is an alumni of the Northport-East Northport School district where she performed in several ensembles, most notably as a Drum Major of the Northport Tiger Marching Band.

Kelly is an active member of SCMEA, NYSSMA, LIOSA, NAfME, as well as serving on the Board of Trustees for the Northport Community Band. Kelly is very active in music education and provides Professional Development workshops for Classroom Music for both SCMEA and LIOSA. In addition to her Vice-President of Classroom Music in SCMEA she is also a Vice-President for Long Island Orff Schulwerk Association. As a lifelong learner, Kelly remains diligent on keeping up with new and innovative ways to employ the best practices in classroom music.
